MCE Bike Insurance

I had a non fault accident on my GSXR 1000 beginning of 2018. Despite being fully comp with all the helmet and leather cover, they refused to payout for anything.

Bait and Switch Scam Company…… Offer low premiums on price comparison website then get in touch a month later with new figures because of some incorrect info (there end)….. ITS ALL A SCAM… Been reported to FSO and FCA – AVOID AVOID AVOID

I will share this one and if it wasn’t so ridiculous i would laugh. My partner just had her renewal in and so rang MCE to see if they could match her lower renewal quote by HASTINGS and in the questions asked by a really rude bloke at the other end she was asked do you do any other work at all. Not one for lying she said i work a few weekends a year helping out on the food and admin side at Evans circle events around the country (there are people turning up to cycle an organised route, NOT a race). They said hmmm why didn’t you tell us that last year, she said your drop down boxes aren’t that specific. He said well in reality you haven’t been insured all year due to a breech in the terms of the insurance. What do you mean she asked. They said you have worked part time for a sporting organisation, our under writer will not insure anyone who works for “any” sporting organisation. She said my motorbike insurance is social only, i use my car to attend these events which is insured separately and i hand out leaflets and fill in a few forms as required. He said doesn’t matter and basically if you do any work for ANY organisation that has ANYTHING to do with ANY sport, fishing , tiddly winks, conkers you will not be insured and they will wiggle out of paying out.This was confirmed to me in 2 different calls to other MCE reps. She now has 2 weeks left to run on this years insurance and can’t ride her bike.

DO NOT TAKE INSURANCE WITH MCE!!!! Write bikes off which do not need to be!, Stitch you up with the salvage value. Offer to purchase for salvage value then change minds at the last moment! Most seem to wander round with their heads firmly inserted in their a holes!…Utterly useless! AVOID!!!

Poor customers service avoid!! Cannot change payment date, few hours late been stung £30 nearly double the insurance payment!!
